Richmond resident and strength competitor Jody Cranston captured the Super Weight Throw event at the Seattle Parks Track and Field Championships on the weekend.

Cranston, who competes for the Greyhounds Track and Field Club and is coached by Dave McDonald, set a new provincial 45-50 age group Super Weight Throw record by throwing the 56 pound implement 20 feet at the USA Track and Field sanctioned event.

Richmond resident and strength competitor Jody Cranston earned a new provincial mark while taking first place in the Super Weight Throw event at the Seattle Parks Track and Field Championships on the weekend.

Richmond resident and strength athlete Jody Cranston won first place in the Weight Throw event at the BC Indoor Track and Field Provincial Championships at the Kamloops Tournament Capital Centre on the weekend.

Cranston, who competes for the Greyhounds Track and Field Club and is coached by Dave McDonald, set the BC Provincial 45-50 Weight Throw record by throwing the 35 pound implement 29 feet at the BC Athletics Association sanctioned event.
